Private Suites, Not Kennels

Inside the lodge, dogs stay in spacious 5×6 private suites. Each one is designed to reduce overstimulation and help dogs feel secure. There are no rows of cages, no chain-link walls, no loud, crowded runs—just clean, private spaces where dogs can exhale.

Every suite includes:

  • Comfortable flooring that’s safe and easy to keep clean
  • Natural light and ventilation
  • Full privacy to minimize stress triggers
  • Room for familiar items like a bed, blanket, or toy from home

Because each dog has their own suite, they can rest peacefully—whether they’re a puppy settling in for the first time or a senior dog who needs extra quiet.

Time Outside, Tailored to Each Dog

The outdoor areas at Ducktown Lodge are just as important as the suites. Wide open grassy spaces, shaded trees, and secure fencing mean dogs get to enjoy the outdoors without chaos or risk.

Dogs go outside 8–9 times a day in structured sessions. This isn’t just about potty breaks—it’s about enrichment, exposure, and supervised play that matches each dog’s personality.

  • A young retriever may enjoy play and practice recalls.
  • A reserved or older dog may prefer a quiet walk and time to sniff.
  • Every dog has their paws cleaned before coming back in, because care is in the details.

Every dog sees the same two caregivers—Lucinda and her husband—every single day. That consistency helps dogs feel grounded and helps owners trust that nothing slips through the cracks.
