Ducktown Lodge, LLC is a privately owned and operated dog boarding destination in Cumming, GA. The Lodge is nestled on our farm where we live on-site. At Ducktown Lodge, your dog is more than just a guest they are family. We prioritize their well- being, safety and happiness. While at the Lodge, your pet will receive individualized care and attention with no additional charge.
Registration Process and Tours
New customers must schedule a meet and greet. This meeting allows you to meet our staff and tour our pet resort. Once your meet and greet is completed and approved, you will be added to our online booking software and you will be able to make reservations.

We have a three-step process for booking new guests:
1. Complete the Orientation Form
2. Complete the Meet & Greet
3. Fill out all online booking forms and waivers
Our meet and greets are designed to ensure you and your furry family member have enjoyable and stress-free visits. We conduct a brief meeting to go over your dog (s) and discuss your pet’s specific needs, behaviors, and routines.
We do NOT schedule same-day requests.
Requirements to Enter Our Property
Please note that we reserve the right to deny services to dogs that are not a good fit, as determined by our dog trainer. While we love all dogs and breeds, we must respectfully decline certain breeds and behaviors.
– All dogs must be on a leash when entering our property.
– We are a private property and only accept reservations.
To ensure everyone’s safety, your dog must meet all of the following requirements before booking.
Ducktown Lodge & Ducktown Dog Training, LLC reserves the right to refuse services.
Before drop-off, proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required. The vaccinations must include:
– Rabies
– DHLPP (5-in-1 shot for distemper)
– Bordetella (canine cough)
– Annual fecal exam for Giardia and common parasites
– Flea and tick treatment

Opening & Closing Times
Dog Boarding Opening Times:
- Hours M- F 7 am – 11 am. 3 pm – 6 pm M-F
- Saturday – Sunday 9 am – 12 pm
- Dogs collected after 11am on the agreed day of pick-up will be charged an additional days fee.
What We Provide – Stress Free Environment
We are a small kennel focused only on quality, not quantity, we are able to offer one-on-one time and attention to all of our furry friends. Ducktown Lodge, LLC has a total of twelve kennels.
Each guest is provided with a comfortable Kuranda raised bed on which to rest. Your pup will feel right at home in our boarding suites. We have created a low-stress, healthy environment with soft lighting, music, a regular exercise program, and frequent individualized attention. We treat every pet with affection, respect, and kindness.. Plus, we live on site!
All pets will have regular exercise under supervision in the outside field runs (2 – 3 times a day.) Daily Rates
Dog Boarding Rates
$60 a night – Suites
- Our rates are per night – which includes bath, medications, several playtime sessions per day.
- We don’t charge extra for taking care of your pet.
Food/Baths/Medications
We are happy to provide everything your dog needs for a comfortable stay at no-extra charge! We bath each dog pick-up day free of charge. Cot beds, food bowls, blankets and treats. We’ve got you covered! The only thing you really need to pack is their food & medication(s) Bring your own food is required. When you pack their food please note:
- Provide food in an airtight container or Ziploc baggies (It doesn’t need to be portioned by meal…but we do appreciate that!)
- Include specific feeding instructions
- We are able to refrigerate fresh and canned food
- Please send only the appropriate amount of food for your dog’s stay(a little extra just in case is ok!). We get grumpy when we have to haul 50lb bags of food around for a two day stay!
- There is a 5.00 per dog, per day, charge for kennel provided food (if you don’t bring your own). We highly advise against this however, changing foods can disrupt a dogs digestion.
Terms & Conditions:
- For boarders requesting accommodation for more than two weeks then a 25% deposit may be required.
- Also boarders requesting accommodation for more than one week during the peak times of Easter, Christmas, New Year and July/August a 25% deposit may be required.
In addition customers who cancel their accommodation, less than one week before the day of arrival, will be liable for a 50% cancellation fee. Please advise as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your stay with us.
Vaccinations & Health
We require all dogs boarding must show proof of up to date vaccination certificates.
Most importantly and including kennel cough vaccinations. In addition certificates of vaccination must be shown upon first day of boarding. Your dog must be on a flea/tick medication and have no-fleas. We don’t accept doggies with fleas!
Finally if we do not see up to date vaccination records, including the kennel cough vaccination, we will refuse dog(s) for boarding without exception.
